An old barn once stood here, full of stories but no longer structurally sound. Our construction team carefully dismantled the aged timbers, preserving the character while ensuring safety. Reclaimed wood—retrofitted for strength—was re-erected within the original stone walls of the barn.
Now, this beautifully repurposed barn stands tall once more, transformed into cozy living quarters while honoring its roots.
The Historic Barn and Farm Foundation of PA (HBFF) appointed Quarry View’s own Paul Bahn, as a Board Director. Paul has been an instrumental part of Quarry View’s success with recent barn restoration and adaptive reuse projects. Paul will expand his circle of influence to the HBFF, though he still continues to collaborate with clients to achieve unique restoration and reuse goals, architect partners for distinguished designs, and our internal team & subcontractors for quality workmanship.
Like Quarry View, this non-profit organization values the preservation of PA’s historic barns and farms. The website states that the foundation is, “dedicated to providing educational resources for the long-term preservation, protection, and documentation of historic barns in Pennsylvania, and the agricultural heritage of the Commonwealth.”

There’s been a lot of movement this spring at the farm and we’re on the cusp of finally ticking some big things off the list!
1. Our final drainage and tiling weekend is coming up, which will pave the way for our much-anticipated wraparound patio (puns!).
2. French door rough opening has been cut. All that’s missing is a French door. 😜 We’ve got our best guy working on sourcing exactly what we want from a design and security standpoint and hope to have that in-hand and installed this summer.
3. Gravel. Is. Expensive. Really, very, super expensive. And since we’re doing all this work as out-of-pocket as possible, our horseshoe driveway progresses slowly and in spurts. That being said, we are SO CLOSE to wrapping this money pit of a driveway up! 🤞
4. Key locations have been IDed + a working floorplan is completed (in pencil - we aren’t stupid). Electrical and plumbing rough-in has now begun.
