I shouldn’t compare sufferings it does bad things for my karmic score and most of the time I truly don’t I’m empathetic towards everyone but I do envy ppl whose depression isn’t catatonic/psychotic or treatment resistant sometimes.

Auntie had warned Ruby about how her exes could go on and on and on. She wasn’t wrong. This guy might’ve even out-blabbed Councilman Krome. That’s when she got a devious idea. Crescent Rose was already out, so she just needed to keep her eyes fixed on Percy while her hands ever-so-slowly moved the barrel towards him. He’d already dismissed her weapon as little more than an oversized scythe, so she hoped this would work.

“You’re right. She stayed behind.” If Percy was someone Ruby actually cared about, she might have been more rattled about what happened in Argus. “But I have a job to do. And if she can’t keep up, then I can at least trust her to step aside so I can keep moving forward.” Ruby dared an impetuous smile as the barrel finally aligned. “It’s what Huntresses do.”

And she pulled the trigger, aiming a sniper round right into Percy’s crotch. If he was good with activating his Aura, it’d hurt like a bitch for several days, but he’d live. If not…well, Ruby would have a funny story to share with Aurelia when she saw her again.

After I finish my main series I’d really like to write the university au, but with Dya and Hazel since it’d give me a good excuse to use their characters :3 (The university au where they’re teachers without angst it’s mostly gonna be indulgent fluff with vulnerable scenes about backstories and maybe they make out a little, who knows, I haven’t written it yet! LMAO)
