I know everyone and their mothers are going to be posting about Jax’s eyes the split second he woke up during his near-abstraction, but I’m way more interested in what this revealed: How it feels when somebody abstracts.

He’s Happy. He’s genuinely tranquil. All those people who abstracted, in their last moments of despair and anguish, slip into a deep, serene sleep that they never wake up from. There’s something morbidly beautiful about that.

I also think he was like this because his room was dark and kinger said Queenie was more calm in the dark after she abstracted
