all the star trek crews get close and develop meaningful friendships and such but like a lot of them Are coworkers at the end of the day. meanwhile those bitches on ds9 TRULY were trauma bonded to hell and back like. dax dying nearly fucked them all up beyond repair. there were so many permutations of romantic relationships flirtations homoerotic tensions and codependent best friendships that i can’t even list them all. sisko was literally kira’s god. it takes a full scale war to shake things up enough for any of them to move on
