AFRICA!?!?!?!” you sound like you can’t possibly believe that cultures of color CAN be progressive, or “better” at preserving/granting civil rights than white cultures, because you believe that white cultures are the epitome of progress and liberalism. which is a colonialist point of view.
you don’t sound supportive of the LGBT people living there, you just sound like a jealous racist. just be happy for the people in that country who just had a new avenue for self expression opened to them by the law, and work on creating change in your own country. period.

Alice Parker is her name. Back in 1919, she created and patented a gas powered heating system when most homes were still using fireplaces and coal stoves. She imagined heating an entire home safely, with different rooms warmed individually instead of relying on one fire source.
Even though her system wasn’t fully used back then, her ideas are the reason modern central heating and zoning exist today. That’s Black history. That’s legacy.

Transmisogyny is a term because it describes the overlap of preexisting transphobia and misogyny and explains how both those axis’ of oppression overlap when it comes to trans women. Androphobia/misandry are not real because men are not systematically oppressed the way women are and any example you can come up about “misandry” is literally just misogyny negatively effecting men too. I need you people to start using your fucking heads and stop giving this ground to people.
The term transmisogyny was not invented because people wanted a Special, More Severe Oppression to be oppressed by, it was because there is overlap between these systematic forms of oppression that is worth exploring and analysing in our culture. The same way misogynoir is a term. There is a reason misogyblanc is not a fucking term, because white people are not systematically oppressed the way black people are and it would be insane to imply they are to, what, describe the hardships of white women? Transphobia is not a diluted term, it is not a lesser version, you can just. use that. you do not have to invent the fake concept of misandry to discuss your experiences and it is irresponsible to do so, quite frankly. I feel like I’m going insane here.
If you are disgusted and scared of most insects, I couldn’t recommend more highly just. Learning more about them. Just about a few guys that exist in your area and are completely harmless parts of the ecosystem. Most insects are just little animals doing their thing.
Your immediate disgust response is likely to be a learned thing. And it’s good to be cautious, but when I was really scared of bugs I know it was mostly fear of the unknown that was creating a lot of the bad feelings. There was no reason to hold onto those bad feelings and make my life worse frankly. If you wanna get better about this and appreciate a huge part of the natural world more, you can totally just make that choice, and work on it little by little!

To whoever needs to hear this, because I certainly did a few years back, you don’t need to eat “like an adult”. You are allowed to prep meals or snacks like you’re a child, and I don’t mean you need to treat yourself like you’re immature, but you’re allowed to give yourself the same grace, patience and willingness to compromise as you would a little kid.
If you don’t like the textures of vegetables, you can blend them up and mix them into something tasty. If you struggle to cook a proper lunch, you can just make yourself a luncbox full of snacks or sandwiches that you can easily take out the fridge later on and pick at. If snacks or ready-meals targeted at children look easier or more appealing, you can just buy them. If you want to cut the crusts off your bread or use cookie cutters to shape your sandwiches into fun shapes, do it!
“It doesn’t matter what you eat, what’s important is just eating” is a crucial philosophy to take on board, but the other important thing to keep in mind is that absolutely no one should control how you eat your food. I don’t care if it’s considered childish, if changing how you eat something gets you to eat it in the first place, make the change. Let yourself eat exactly how you want to.
