The Truth Untold Vs Muse: A Music analysis with sprinklings of Yoonmin

Okay but I’m thinking so much about how Jimin highlighted “The truth untold” in the muse promotions. The song has seemingly nooo connection at all to Muse beyond obviously the Smeraldo Flower. But it become so clear once I looked at the lyrics???

It seems like The Truth Untold is a sad question that is answered years later with love and reassurance in Muse. WALK WITH ME!!!!

These are the links I’ve noticed to this song in particular. Idk it doesn’t seem like a coincidence and at the very least it speaks to how talented an artist Jimin is.

But the subject matter of The Truth Untold seems to highlight a lover who is afraid that they won’t be good enough for the object of their affection. Whether it be, because of their insecurities or because of the fears they have about the love the person holds for them. I found it interesting how MUSE seems to seek to assuage those fears while still reassuring the lover that they’re cared for.

I do think that Muse is largely a concept album. PDogg said it was conceptial and Jimin didn’t go into too much detail about the album. I think Jimin felt like singing about love and all the ways it manifests. And we know that SMGB in particular was written after hanging out with a certain someone in New York 👀. So while I don’t think we should take every tiny detail at face value it’s definitely interesting to see how music, muses, and artists talks to each other in song even years later.

An island of our own: Yoonmin and the island motif. 🏝️

I’ve noticed that the idea of being alone with someone on an island often comes up often between Yoonmin and I find it fascinating.

Yoongi has said a few times that if he could bring anyone to to a deserted island he would chose Jimin.

Jimin then brings it up again in 2019 when asked the same question:

Fast forward to 2020 Yoongi mentions on the Jimin episode of his radio show that again hed go with Jimin to a deserted island.

So throughout the years, Jimin and Yoongi mention this idea of being alone on an island together. Now while Jimin and Yoongi haven’t to my knowledge had that chance to be completely alone on an island they have had an experience with just the two of them in Hawaii

Jimin in 2017 mentions that in Hawaii they went stargazing together:

Fast forward to 2022, Yoongi and Jimin do an AD for Jeju island where it is decidedly just the two of them

The idea of an Island for two even shows up within Yoongi and Jimin’s Music.

Finally we have Jimin’s debut with the word island, in Be Mine where he also mentions wanting it to be just him and one other person:

So we can see even in lyrics that Yoongi and Jimin both have mentioned the idea of being on an island with just another person 👀. And based on the several interviews where Jimin or Yoongi mention the idea of being on an island together I think we can do a little 1+1=2 here.

I think the idea of getting away to a place where only the two of them can be is something special to yoonmin. The idea of their own little paradise in the ocean that is their fame and notoriety sounds healing in a time where they make special efforts to see each other amongst their busy schedules. I hope that yoonmin can find their own little island soon.

UMMM! Anyways screenshots cannNAWT do this video justice. The tension is sky high and honestly makes sense because Yoonmin become POSSESSED at awards shows. Something takes over them. Im grateful that Jimin couldn’t be next to Yoongi because we got ALLLLLL of this. He’s clearly decided to anchor his gaze solely on Yoongi and Yoongi while comfortable under him is clearly enjoying the attention. I think that YM get an unfair rep for not having any tension in their relationship and I fear that happens cause of two things. 1. long term relationships are not going to be heated 24/7. 2. people don’t know where to look. But fear not, I’ll l👁️👁️k for the both of us.
