@defiantpotato and I have birthdays within three days of one another here at the beginning of January, and we always take the first week or two of the month off rather than taking off at Crimbo. This year we decided to put the time to good use and do some work to our bedroom. We have repainted, put up a new bed, still have a wardrobe/armoire to put together, and some other minor bits and general rearranging.

When looking at some of the smaller things – like replacing light switch and outlet covers – I found that there were artists repro covers available. This Klimt cover now adorns our wall. One of the coolest things is how they even painted the screws (I almost lost the top right one).

This page is officially UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Expect many changes to the layout and theme in the coming weeks, as well as new rules/regulations…thank you :)

2026年が始まりました。この新たな年も、4月に年度が変わるまで、年度のみことばであるエペソ人への手紙4章13節を握り、標語である「MATURE（成熟）」を目指して、ますます、主にあって単純にされ、不必要なところを一つまた一つと主に取り除いていただき、謙遜にされ、キリストの似姿へと変えられて行きましょう！

そのために、自分のためにはもちろん、神の家族にある兄弟姉妹の人たちのためにも、さらに祈り励んで行きましょう！

Until Your Eyes Feel Refreshed

As we age or deal with illness, eye fatigue becomes more common.
But rather than relying on artificial fixes, it’s best to restore your eyes naturally.
Step outside and gaze at a wide open green field or a clear blue sky.
Let your eyes soak in the view until they feel moist and relaxed again.
The eyes are often the first part of the body to show signs of fatigue.
Dryness and discomfort are signals that they need rest.
When that happens, take a break from screens and look at nature.
Even using artificial tears can help if you can’t get outside.
The goal is simple: keep your eyes hydrated and refreshed.
That’s how you protect your vision and your overall well-being.
