you say the sweetest things (3/6)

Root has never really been a dog person, in fact, she’s kind of never had a pet at all until Bear. Which, admittedly, isn’t exactly the most typical of situations. Bear’s custody arrangement is… complicated. Even though Shaw pretty much has dibs on him when she’s working a number, they’re lucky if Bear stays with them even a quarter of the time.

It’s The Machine that suggests a possible solution. They could get Shaw an actual service dog, one trained to help people with PTSD specifically. And it would be theirs, Root’s and Shaw’s (and technically Hers too).

Chapter three!!!!!! These sicko cuties get a new addition to the family, Root continues to wax poetic about how much she loves her girls :)

Why am I so angry that Harold didn’t die?!

All those years I still prefer to think that the last scene was just an illusion of his dying brain

And weren’t Grace in Italy?….

eeeeeeee! hell yes hell yes. tbh if it hadn’t been for the yaoi goggles i think john would have taken much longer to grow on me than he did, but I do think he still would have grown on me. and oh boy don’t worry the writers also love putting him in situations

and the thing the THING is by the end of season 1 you don’t even know two of the best characters yet, many lovely treats in store :^) S2 adds a LOT, the show really gets markedly better as it goes along. it stays “procedural with a twist” for a looong time (including most of s2 tbc) but it really REALLY does go places and start digging into its concepts more

yesssssssss hell yes. it does that procedural premise for a while but it does change the formula eventually and push more info sci-fi, but i started getting really proper into it well before that even happened (after starting out loathing John Reese, even (i never disliked harold finch he has such mannerisms and speech cadence i could never, but john took like all of season 1 to really grow on me. but grow on me he did!))

and some of my favorite characters don’t really properly show up til wayyy later, season 3 ish? fuck i love this show I’m itching to rewatch it but i feel like i need to save that juice for if i manage to get someone irl on board for it

OH MY GOSH I CAN TALK ABOUT AUS NOW??? or at least yell about em into the void hehe

Uh uhhhh i hv a rlly fun dark Harold au! The short of it is that the us of a government got fukin impatient and decided they wanted the machine now instead of later. And they kidnapped my boi Nathan and killed and tortured his ass. And his kid too damn. Mean.

But finch goes off the deep end frm that shit, it wasn’t able to save them because he had already started to put up the black box safeguards cuz the machine was SO CLOSE to done right? On the time it took for him to get through them and try and help, uh oh too late!

Anyways this makes him go crazy and like take over the world and shit. Iiiii was going somewhere cooler and more articulate with this but I forgor

Can’t believe there’s actually a ‘Michael Emerson + Belgian Malinois’ Cinematic Universe now 😆.

Man, Death Benefit starts so hilarious (is Reese an idiot shooting out of the window like that?) and ends so dark and scary. The ethical dilemmas, the group shut out of their base and hunted. It’s so far away from where it started and I love it so much

POI 5x07 ‘QSO’ lowkey reminds me of Torchwood, 1x10 'Out of Time’ and 2x02 'Sleeper’, I think. Because where do you draw the line between suicide and martyr? And who gets to decide? How much do you get to intervene? Jack the man who cannot die keeps someone company as they end their own life. Suicide by cop to save the world. Root saying people having free will and Harold saying not that. (Torchwood does try impossible situations harder, huh.)
