Power Ballad Trailer

Lionsgate DCU [a dream and a plea]
IDK why I am in Res’s replies campaigning so hard for Lionsgate to do their own DCU but the more I muse on it, the more I like it.
Hell, they don’t even need to take the whole DC universe. Since they are so YA focused, I can see them just doing the various Sidekick or next gen hero teams. We are just SICK of the mainline JL [and villains] so lets focus on next gen, yeah?
Jason and the Outlaws getting their own movie/TV show, Starfire getting her movie, The robins [both the main 5 and any spin off robins, the Superboys movie with Jon and Kon, Teen Titans and Young Justice getting a movie saga, Doom Patrol, Shazam already has his own side series but it would be nice to focus on the Marvel family [thought they probably won’t since Marvel comics but whatever], Flashfam and Arrowfam having a movie series, I want more Wonder Woman but also Donna and Cassie and whatever the fuck goes on on the island [this one would be rough and I see them focusing more on Donna and her romance issues because this is the twilight producers sooooo]
A STATIC SHOCK MOVIE. A SIGNAL TV SHOW. WHATEVER THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH AQUAMAN THAT ISN’T MERA OR ARTHUR.
Hell I would take them doing a Live Action or even animated version of WFA. Something professionally done is a win regardless.

Tbh I find it quite pathetic to try to weasle your way put of a duel you won’t partake in cuz you got someone with someone to kill, die & live for to do your work via trying to have everyone kill the opponent. The 2 are also friends. 300+ people fail to kill him every single day
I like this film a lot. The worldbuilding, the Belarussians, Akira, Koji, Caine, Caine’s daughter, John, Mr. Nobody, the dude who looks Moldovan but speaks Spanish sometimes, the fights, the way everything is filmed (that top-down fight scene sequence is gold), Wilson & his mourning of Charon. But like the 2nd film, the villain is EXTREMELY INCOMPREHENSIBLE
Bill is a fantastic actor & I really don’t like the villain so he does his job well. But he’s really a weasle kinda villain, like the 2nd film
Killah on the flipside was an insanely good villain. Tried to weasle away, get goons involved but then… He was cornered & shot in the literal rear. And thus he was the dude by BRUTE FORCE & FIGHTING WITH HIS FISTS ALMOST KILLED JOHN. Reminding us all he was the one to kill Uncle Pyotr & that he is terrifying. He didn’t annoy me, Vincent did too much

What I absolutely love about the franchise is the fact in 4 films they’ve managed to remain consistent in realism despite the surrealistic overarching arc:
[[MORE]]- That reloading a gun is annoying as hell & time-consuming when you fight to the death
- Just cuz John has plot armour, does not mean he has infinite ammo. A pistol runs out of bullets, a Winchester runs out of bullets, sniper rifles, shotguns, carabines, etc;
- Or they jammed which is also bloody annoying when people try to kill you everywhere you goo!;
- IT’S WHY HE STEALS ARTIFACTS AS WEAPONS, OPPONENTS’ WEAPONS& USED SHIT LIKE BOOKS, BROKEN GLASS SHARDS, PENS, PENCILS, WHATEVER HE CAN TO KILL;
- Also knives will be lodged in people. So knives aren’t an end-all, be-all solution to fights to the death. ESPECIALLY WITH EXHAUSTION (see the Akira, who got shot cuz her guard was down from exhaustion):
- Caine vs Koji should be badass vs badass until you remember they are friends. Old friends. And the fight isn’t even glorious: Caine is visually impaired, Koji is injured…;
- Koji knows Akira will come for him. She can’t now & he even anticipates this;
- To add on to exhaustion from earlier: Even though John is a lot more experienced than Akira, he too is not immune to exhaustion. She has it with lesser experience (whilst still being a capable assasin). John is with age. Keep in mind he’s already in his mid to late 50’s (Keanu himself is an even more extreme example by being in his early 60’s)
