I got a bird of paradise plant today and now I can finally use my dollar store gnomes.
I have a bunch of mini peat pellets for seedlings and I’m still deciding what veggies to try to grow this year. I really want to grow red peppers simply because their cuteness levels are off the charts

This lady has been needing a repot for a little while! Look at those roots!
Here she is in a bigger self watering pot from the same seller, they’re very good. Very excited to see how much she grows. It’s wild that she got another slightly smaller leaf fully out while the really big one is still struggling to finish unfurling though 😅 I didn’t even know that could happen

In other news, the museum will be opening a new special exhibit of American instruments next week, including Bill Clinton’s saxophone, which is always a huge hit with visitors. I’m thinking I’m going to wear a nice royal blue dress to the opening reception — nice and patriotic, y’know? It just seems appropriate 😊😉🫣🤭
